The Galapagos Islands, located on the Equator 600 miles west of Ecuador, enchanted Herman Melville and Charles Darwin. When you cruise the Galapagos with Andean Treks, you’ll be similarly moved.
Since 1983 we’ve been sending individuals, families, and groups to these enchanting islands. Now as before, the Galapagos continue to enthrall our passengers.
Why Cruise the Galapagos with Andean Treks?
We work directly with the local boat companies, and are very familiar with most of the yachts in Galapagos. We’ve seen many of them first-hand, cruised on several, and visit the islands regularly to update our information. The yachts on our website are those we consider to be the best, the ones that we use regularly and those that meet our exacting standards of safety, quality and reliability.
The choice is yours! Choose from any of the Galapagos yachts on our website. Travel on the dates that work for you. We'll check availability, then off you go! We chose not to offer scheduled cruise departure dates because there are so many yacht choices, and everyone has different dates they can travel.
Throughout the years, we’ve seen many Galapagos yachts come and go, but our decades of experience and deep expertise have made travelers trust us because:
- We know the companies and yachts that are trustworthy and those that are not.
- We’re in touch with the ever-changing pulse of Galapagos and we’re proud to share that information with you openly and honestly.
- We have hand-selected our list of yachts. Trust us to find the yacht that meets your personal needs, with unbiased recommendations.
- Our rates are reasonable and fair, the same as the yacht's rates (with very few exceptions,) and we don’t “pad” the rates by including international airfare or hotels.
- We can book land and hotels for you, but to keep prices down we quote them separately.
It may seem easy to book a Galapagos cruise online through anyone, but it's a risk. You don't know who you're dealing with, and you may not get the truth about the small details of your trip -- nor will you learn a yacht’s track record. You probably won’t get all your questions answered by experienced, knowledgeable staff. And most importantly, if you don’t know what to ask, you may end up being disappointed in your trip.
When you choose Andean Treks, you’ll benefit from the expertise we’ve gained leading people to cruise the Galapagos since 1983. We’re regularly praised for our reliability and attention to detail, which create a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Walking among and photographing wild birds and animals that never learned to fear humans is a revelation and a delight. On your Galapagos cruise, twice each day your naturalist guide leads you on island excursions where you take treasured portraits of exotic species: red- and blue-footed boobies, marine and land iguanas, sea lions, Galapagos penguins, albatross, frigate birds, giant tortoises, sea turtles and much, much more. Snorkel amid underwater volcanic formations replete with myriad species of fish, often alongside sea lions, occasionally penguins, or even sea turtles. Enjoy swimming and relaxing on white sand beaches, then returning to the comforts of your yacht for a rest and to share your experiences over meals. The Galapagos Islands are a world of their own--and your Galapagos cruise will be one you’ll never forget.
